An accident
or a breakdown on a single-lane road with a wire rope barrier could
mean that it is difficult to pass the vehicle or vehicles involved.
The barrier can be easily dismantled in order to redirect traffic and
to tow away vehicles.
Two or three people can easily lift the wires from the poles without
having to slacken them off or use tools.
The fence is reassembled and the bent poles are replaced.
